A note from Prim
Never miss your table
Here is the trouble with a good table: it fills up whether you are watching or not. So let Prim tap you on the shoulder the moment your group sits down. Two minutes to set up, and you will never again hear about a game after the last tile has been thrown.
On your iPhone
One rule first
This works only from Safari, never Chrome. That is Apple's rule, not Prim's. Use Safari for every step below, or the notifications will never find you.
- 1Read these steps once, they are short. Then tap here to stand at the front door: orderofthetile.com. The next steps happen there, not on this page, so your phone saves the table and not these directions.
- 2Tap the Share button at the bottom of the screen, the little square with an arrow rising out of it.
- 3Scroll down the list and tap Add to Home Screen, then tap Add.
- 4Open the new Order of the Tile icon from your home screen. If it fills the whole screen with no address bar at the top, you have done it right.
- 5Tap Turn on notifications, then tap Allow. That is the whole trick.
If it asks you to sign in first, go ahead and sign in, it takes only a moment with a one-time code sent to your email. Not ready to sign in yet? You can still add it to your home screen now and turn the notifications on the next time you are back.
On an Android phone or a computer
Gentler ground here. Open orderofthetile.com in Chrome, find Install or Add to Home screen in the browser menu, and say yes. Allow notifications when it asks. That is all.
What Prim will send you
Only what is worth looking up for. Your group has sat down. A friend has saved you a seat. A game has been posted near you. Never a nag, never a daily drumbeat, never a word when there is no table to join. An invitation, and only when one is truly waiting.
Now go and turn it on, and leave the looking the other way to somebody else.
Prim, as always
