An educator begins her read of the 2026 card with a flourish.
Tricia Conover, a Certified Mahjong Life Instructor who writes the Mahj Tile Talk Substack, opened a series on the 2026 NMJL card with Part I, subtitled Impressions and Cocktails, published April 11.
The framing device is the tell: each card breakdown gets paired with a drink. The voice is warmer than a rulebook and lighter than a lecture, which is a harder thing to do than it looks.
