Tile Envy

A glossy quarterly, in print

Mähj arrives as the first national print magazine for the game.

Mähj, billed as the first national quarterly print magazine devoted to mahjong, launched in March 2026 at 150 dollars a year for four issues, per the publication's own site.

It was founded by Kathy Wise, with design by Marshall McKinney, formerly the creative director at Garden & Gun. The spring issue carries a Dallas cover feature, which fits a city that has been loud about the game lately.

A print object asks something a feed does not. It asks you to hold still. That is a posture Prim is fond of.
