An Atlanta mahjong event will raise money for autism care this fall

Mahjong for Marcus is set for September 29 at the Cherokee Town Club, with proceeds going to the Marcus Autism Center, according to the event page.

An American mahjong event called Mahjong for Marcus is scheduled for September 29, 2026, from 11 AM to 2 PM at the Cherokee Town Club in Atlanta, according to the event page on the Children's Healthcare of Atlanta foundation site. The page lists proceeds as benefiting the Marcus Autism Center.

The event is described as American mahjong, and the page asks players to bring their 2026 NMJL cards. According to the page, tables go on sale July 8.

The event adds an Atlanta date to a summer in which mahjong gatherings have been raising money for a range of causes around the country. OOTT is not affiliated with the event or the foundation and does not sell tickets, tables, or sets.
