In Richardson, a sisterhood tournament reaches its eighth year

Congregation Beth Torah Sisterhood has set the Esther Cohen Mah Jongg Tournament for November 8, and this time there is a social play option alongside the bracket.

Congregation Beth Torah Sisterhood in Richardson, Texas has announced that its Esther Cohen Mah Jongg Tournament will be held on Sunday, November 8, 2026 at 720 W. Lookout Drive. The sisterhood's page describes it as its eighth annual tournament.

Registration is open through the sisterhood's online form, and the page lists a social play option for anyone who would rather sit down for the afternoon without entering the competition. Sponsorship and contribution opportunities are also listed.

Per the sisterhood, proceeds support its programming through the year. Questions go to [email protected].

Eight years is long enough that a tournament stops being an event and becomes a fixture on somebody's calendar. Those are the ones worth watching.
