A 24 hour livestream plays for St. Jude on September 26
Mahj Life's annual Mahj-a-thon runs online from noon Eastern for a full day, and its 2026 date is on the calendar.
Mahj Life, a Canton, Georgia company that calls itself "the QUINTessential Mah Jongg Resource Center," lists its 2026 Mahj-a-thon to benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital as a virtual event on September 26, 2026, per the events roundup on its site, which ties the date to Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.
The company's fundraisers page describes the Mahj-a-thon as an annual 24 hour livestream held on the fourth Saturday in September beginning at noon Eastern, with "let's play" segments featuring community members who donate to St. Jude, interactive presentations, and gameplay with commentary drawn from its Skills and Strategies Matrix. The event is "designed for players of all levels," per the page. The same fundraisers page lists a companion St. Jude livestream, Bingo Bash, which it describes as American mah jongg played under National Mah Jongg League rules at Mahjong Time, and Mahj Life's about page frames its teaching around American mah jongg.
Mahj Life's roundup also lists a virtual Invitational mini tournament on October 3 and a Rumble mini tournament on November 7. OOTT is not affiliated with Mahj Life and does not run or sell anything connected to these events.
