A parlor in a home and six more tables to find in Fort Worth
PaperCity's guide to playing in Fort Worth names a members parlor in Fairmount slated for September, alongside weekly hotel, club and library tables.
PaperCity Magazine's guide to where to play mahjong in Fort Worth, published August 3, 2026, reports that Vickie Charm Mahjong Social Parlor, run by Veronica Gary on the first floor of a home in the Fairmount neighborhood, was set to open to members in September with four to five tables, lounge seating and a small showroom for tiles and accessories.
The same guide lists weekly American mahjong at Canyon Ranch Wellness Club on Mondays from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. (free for members, $35 for nonmembers, per the magazine) and lessons and open play in the Billet Room at Bowie House on Mondays from 7 to 9 p.m.
It also points to The Bamboo Room on Camp Bowie Boulevard, The Mahj Clubhouse on Pershing Avenue, occasional nights at Salute Wine Bar, lessons at First Presbyterian Church of Fort Worth, Parks and Recreation classes at Southwest Community Center, and free fall sessions and checkout mahjong kits at Southwest Regional Library.
