Deck the Tiles brings a holiday tournament to Slidell
A full day American mah jongg tournament on Sunday, November 1, sends part of every registration to C.A.C. Hope House.
Crescent & Tile Mahjong Co. and co-host Mahjong MD are holding the Deck the Tiles Mahjong Tournament on Sunday, November 1, 2026, from 8 AM to 4 PM at Saint August Maison, 153 Robert Street, Slidell, Louisiana, according to the event's Eventbrite listing.
Play follows NMJL rules, and players are asked to bring their current NMJL card. Per the listing, the $175 registration covers a full day of play, catered charcuterie and lunch, door prizes and tournament prizes, with festive holiday decor. A limited number of beginner spots are set aside for newer players, and a separate Tournament Prep Class on strategy, scoring and etiquette is offered as an add-on.
A portion of every registration goes to the C.A.C. Hope House, which the organizers say supports children and families in the community. Seating is limited, and the listing says refunds are available up to seven days before the event.
OOTT is not affiliated with the organizers. Details come from the public listing, so check it directly before you register.
