Order of the Tile

Privacy Policy

Last updated July 2026

Who we are. Order of the Tile is run by Lake & Ivy LLC, a Texas limited liability company ("Order of the Tile," "we," "us," "our"). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It works alongside our Terms of Service. Questions or requests go to [email protected].

1. Information we collect

Information you give us. When you create an account, we collect your email address and the handle you choose. If you buy a Game Pass, the course, or a tournament, our payment processor collects your payment details (we do not see or store your full card number). If you write to us, we keep your message.

Information from your use of the site. As you play and learn, we keep records tied to your account, such as your game results, progress, streaks, badges, favorites, and purchases. We also collect standard technical and usage information, such as your device and browser type, general location inferred from your connection, and how you move through the site.

2. How we use your information

3. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar storage in your browser to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand how the site is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work as well without them.

4. Services we rely on

We use trusted third-party services to run Order of the Tile, and we share with them only what they need to do their job. These include a payment processor for purchases (Stripe), a hosting and database provider that stores your account and gameplay data, email delivery for sign-in links and messages, analytics tools that help us understand site usage, and, if you turn them on, push notifications. These providers handle your information under their own privacy terms.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers described above, when you ask us to, when the law requires it or to protect our rights and our players, or as part of a business transfer such as a merger or sale. If you join a club tournament, the club that organizes it may see information you provide for that event; the organizer is responsible for how it handles that information.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy, then delete or de-identify it, unless the law requires us to keep it longer.

7. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal information. Contact us and we will honor the rights that apply to you.

8. Children

Order of the Tile is intended for a general, adult audience and is not directed to young children. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child in a way that requires a parent's consent we did not have, we will delete it.

9. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information, but no method of storage or transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot promise absolute security.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. When we make a material change, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, give notice on the site.
