Most players know Southern Sparrow for its tiles, the Chinoiserie Collection and the Country Club line. Prim featured Jessica Roe for something else: her Mahj 101 videos, short and clear, on YouTube, Instagram and the Southern Sparrow blog. She trusts a player to take in a concept in three minutes instead of thirty, and she teaches with a warmth that brings people back for the next one.
Her range reaches the messy middle, too: practicing solo, playing with three, choosing a hand before the Charleston starts. Jessica launched Southern Sparrow in 2024 and built it from the ground up in Plano, Texas, drawing on her family's manufacturing background.
