A Detroit area teacher books her fall beginner series into a clubhouse and a brewery

Mah Jongg Mommas lists two three night American mah jongg series for this fall, both at private venues rather than a library, with the 2026 card included in the price.

Mah Jongg Mommas, a teaching group based in the Detroit metro area of Michigan, lists two beginner American mah jongg series running this fall. Both are three evenings long and both are listed at $210.00.

The first meets at Danialle's Clubhouse on Pierce Street in Birmingham, Michigan, on September 15, 22 and 29, 2026. The listing shows the first class running 6:00 to 9:00 in the evening and the two that follow running 6:00 to 8:30, and states that "Your 2026 Mahjong League Card is included in the price of the classes." Snacks and non-alcoholic refreshments are provided, per the listing.

The second meets at Unwined Winery and Belching Monk Brewing in Shelby Township, Michigan, on September 23 and October 7 and 14, 2026, on the same evening pattern. That listing says the 2026 NMJL card is included with registration and adds, "Enjoy 10% off your house bill during each class! (not including take out orders wine or food)."

Both series are held at private venues rather than at a library or a community center, which is where most publicly listed fall beginner instruction sits. Order of the Tile is not affiliated with this group, does not run these classes, and does not sell mah jongg sets.
