A Nashville community center opens an October course, and the card comes with it

Four Tuesday afternoons at the Gordon JCC teach the card and the National Mah Jongg League rules, and the current card is included in the fee.

The Gordon JCC in Nashville lists a four week mah jongg class that meets on Tuesdays, October 13, 20 and 27 and November 3, from 1 to 3 PM in the center's Senior Lounge, according to its classes page. An earlier session ran on Tuesdays in September.

Per the listing, students learn how to read the card and become familiar with the official National Mah Jongg League rules. The fee is $150 for members and $175 for non-members, and it includes the current card. Registration is required.

The page says the class is taught by Michele, a center member who inherited her love of the game from her mother and has more than 20 years of playing experience. OOTT is not affiliated with the Gordon JCC.
